The City Manager is responsible for the management of the City and oversees all divisions except the City Attorney and the Municipal Court. The City Manager’s office includes two Deputy City Managers and administrative staff. With hiring authority for all divisions and division heads except the Council-appointed City Attorney and Municipal Court Magistrates, the City Manager is the administrative head of city government operations and also plays a key role in intergovernmental relations and legislative monitoring. The City Manager is responsible for drafting a recommended budget and presenting it to the City Council for consideration and adoption.
