CHAC will present the 2016 College & Career Resource Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 at Killip Elementary School

2016 College & Career Information Fair-02

Dear Community Partners,

My name is Ruth Eaton M.Ed and I am a member of the Coconino County Hispanic Advisory Council (CHAC) in Flagstaff, AZ.  It is that time of the year again and the Coconino County Hispanic Advisory Council is planning its annual College & Career Resource Fair. We had a great turnout last year because of your participation. We would like to once again invite you to participate in this year’s fair on October 1, 2016, 11:00-2:00 pm at Killip’s Elementary School in Flagstaff, AZ.  We will be sending you the flyer as soon as it is finalized.

We look forward to hearing from you ASAP so we can reserve a table for your agency.  Please RSVP/ contact Theresa Thomas at or  (928) 679-7162 by 8/31/16. Please let us know if you will need access to an electrical outlet, the name and contact phone number of the person(s) who will represent you at the fair.  Please bring your information to distribute at the fair, last year we had an attendance of approximately  100.

Our vision is to inform youth, their families and other community members who may show some interest in attending college either full-time or part-time sometime in the future.  We would like to target young persons and their parents who may not know where to find college information.

In some instances the parent’s language is a barrier, we have students finishing high school online or at Charter Schools or Adult Education Centers or some who have delayed college for many other reasons. Some students want to further their education to increase their job skills, or work on a specialized certificate, whatever the goal they have, we want to give them the opportunity to learn more about how they can find these resources.

Let us know if you have any contacts who you feel would be interested in participating in this fair.

Thank you and please contact us and let us reserve a table for you.

Thank you for serving our communities in Northern AZ.
